Da_Buddha

Alex “da_buddha” Billington joined the EverLAN crew in mid-2003 before the Summer 2003 EverLAN. Alex started as the Command & Conquer Generals tournament admin and has moved up to become the main Real-Time Strategy games admin and Lighting Design Director.

Before joining EverLAN, Alex was the creator of a small local LAN party organization that ran house LANs, called Adventures in WonderLAN, which ran for about only 2 years. He has had an experienced past in the LAN party world and is continuously expanding his experiences by attending some of the nation’s largest LAN parties.

Alex’s current residency is in Pittsburgh, PA at Carnegie Mellon University where he is studying Lighting Design. Though his major is in theatre, his dedication to gaming and LANs is always growing. He has taken advantage of the Computer Science school in the nation by becoming a prominent staff member of the CMU Online Gaming Society and is the east coast rep for hosting EverLAN partnered LAN parties. Keep watch for him as he travels the east coast in search of good LAN parties!

His first love for gaming began with X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and Red Alert. He progressed through major addictions in Starcraft, Rainbow Six, Diablo, and Asheron’s Call all on a 500Mhz box in his early gaming development. He also earned the honored distinction of the fastest typist in 5th grade. His current favorite games are Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, Counter-Strike Source, UT2k4 and of course Command & Conquer Generals. Soon-to-be favorites are also LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth and Half-Life 2. Alex enjoys going to movies on opening day, collecting DVDs, playing laser tag & bowling, and modding & building computers.
